Too Many Connections Errors

Hello guys,

Please excuse me if ive posted this in the wrong section, I Im very new to all this.

I need some help, a step by step guide, in how to change the max connection settings.

At the moment they are at 100, but the forum is crashing with the, mySQL error: Too many connections
mySQL error code:

All the time nearly, its getting very bad.
Any one who has the time in explaing how to fix this problem, i would be very greatfull, but please remember, im very new to all this.

I believe you need to edit php.ini, and change the fbsql.max_connections numbers.
