Hi there

One of my customers just reported (because he is very nice) that although I gave him 500 mb, he already uploaded 680 mb.

I checked and DA says 12.221 as disk usage but 0.0 for total usage

I entered as this user, updated and it is still 0.0 mb !!! So how can I restrict him to his quota and why is DA showing 0.0 ?

DirectAdmin quota only updates every 24 hours (by default). Try running the tally and seeing if the usage is updated and his account is supsended (if you have it set to suspend accounts on over usage).

Also make sure quota is setup properly on your server.
 
quota problems still

Hey,

well, the 24 hours already passed, however the total usage is still 0.0

Where do I check my quote setups? I guess there is an overall problem in the system as the admin panel shows like 958 mb which can't be true.

Where quota_partition is the value set in the /usr/local/directadmin/conf/directadmin.conf file. The command should output a large list of numbers, eg

In directadmin.conf I can't find the quota_partition, which line is it and what should it say?

problems not solved yet

Hi there again,

I could not solve the problem still:

my fstab says this:

Block limits File limits
User used soft hard grace used soft hard grace
root -- 71464 0 0 - 1471 0 0 -
mail -- 488 0 0 - 408 0 0 -
apache -- 0 0 0 - 13 0 0 -
mysql -- 0 0 0 - 1 0 0 -
majordomo -- 1286 0 0 - 135 0 0 -

I run the update:

(freebsd)

/usr/sbin/quotaoff -a; /sbin/quotacheck -avug; /usr/sbin/quotaon -a;

still shows the same so apache and mysql have 0 - 0 in block limits, in used column!

I run the tally:

echo "action=tally&value=all" >> /usr/local/directadmin/data/task.queue


Still nothing happens in DirectAdmin, it shows 0.0 as used disk space although it is around 400-500 mb

Did you get that figured out and configured properly?

no, the problem seems to be there still ! If someone can show me a proper directadmin.conf that would be helpful.

I am writing posts to the forum, I have no idea who to contact with this problem.

Now I compared your directadmin.conf with mine.

I was missing this line from my conf file:

quota_partition=/


so now I have put it there. However, still 0.0 , do I need to wait 24 hours now?

Could this be the problem?

I ran the same checks as above written
