transfer mail from server to server

i transfer my site from server to anther server but coz its to big i transfer it manual but the problem was that i cant find the mail i have in the old server in the backup
so pls can any one tell me what to do and if u answer where is it how can i transfer it

i just find the mail back up :$

cd backup/leblover.com/email/data/pop
its in here but how i restor it :$
i crate the mails same the old one like ex : leblover.com
so i make mail name leblover.com
but i need to add the old date in
cd backup/leblover.com/email/data/pop
the new server how


i cant find that

Start by telling us where that backup got the data from, and maybe one of us can help you.

ok from the start

i have a server and i trnsfer to anther server
first what i do is
i make backup from the directadmin

my backup was 4 GB

so i send it to the new server and from there in the directadmin i cant restor it so i unzip it and restor it manual but i did not know how to restor the mails i have

There are several DA backups. The only one I have personal experience is the sysbk backup from the admin level.

If you backed up the email using sysbk, then you should have the files to restore.

Can I restore email from ensim to DA?
I want migrate from Ensim to DA.

Since Ensim using Sendmail and DA using Exim.
Do I just upload from Ensim email to mail dir at DA?

Does ensim use mbox or Maildir for email delivery?

If it uses mbox then you should be able to copy the mbox files over.

I don't know where ensim keeps the mbox files (if in fact it does), but DA keeps them in domain specific directories, not in /var/spool/mail.
