transfering MySql from cpanel

Hello,
i need help with transfering data base.
One user came from another host, he was using cpanel. He backed up his web site with 2 data base and i downloaded it. (file: .tar)
And every time i try to restore that backup with direct admin i get this (File is not of type tar.gz: gzip: stdin: not in gzip format /bin/tar: Child returned status 1 /bin/tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors )
This backup is about 500MB
there are 2 data bases that are about 30MB. Format of data base is .sql
So how can i upload these 2 data base?
All other files and scripts i uploaded manually.

Are you trying to restore the entire user account or just the databases?

look, he was using cpanel and he wants entire web site to transfer to my direct admin. So i all files that are in public html directory transfered manually, but i dont know how to backup data base.
Any idea?
how would you transfer whole site with scripts and data bases?

I never done this before.

Click Search near the top of this forum and type in "convert cpanel directadmin"
