I'm from China.
When I install directadmin with AlmaLinux-8.7, there are many timeout items, which makes it impossible for me to install directadmin successfully. What should I do?
[root@localhost ~]# tail -f /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/install.txt
Cannot find /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/options.conf, writing defaults.
Changed secure_php option from no to yes
Changed csf option from no to yes

Hello,

It seems your server can not connect to files.directadmin.com. You might need to make sure it's not blocked with a firewall on your server and your provider does not block connections to it.

The files.directadmin.com is proxied via CloudFlare. Isn't CloudFlare blocked in China?

ping is testing icmp, and does not show anything about HTTP:80 and HTTP:443, as well as FTP. So it's not reliable here.

Anyway, if your server can not download anything from files.directadmin.com. What has ping to do with it? You still should make sure connections to TCP 80, 443 are not blocked either with a firewall on your server or by your provider.

If there is not block on your side and on your provider's side, or/and if CloudFlare is blocked in China, then you might open a ticket with DirectAdmin support and ask them to provide an alternative way to install DirectAdmin.
