trouble completing order

When I try to order DirectAdmin it requests a domain name for the server.

I am planning on installing DirectAdmin on a server that will be hosting 50 shared accounts.

What domain name does it need?
Should it be my main company domain?
Is this for administrative purposes or is there some function that requires this information.

Its looking for a fully qualified hostname as in server1.yourdomain.com or something similar i would imagine.
 
I have a domain for my company www.mywebhost.com


It will be assigned to a VPS that will contain my company website and WHMCS support application.

I just got a dedicated server and would like to add DirectAdmin to the webserver.

If DirectAdmin needs a hostname and I use server1.mywebhost.com, how do I get server1.mywebhost.com to resolve to the IP address of the dedicated server.

I am very new to this.

You create a dns record for it in the main zone for your domain name, wherever that's hosted.
