My friend and I have been hosting our email accounts and websites using DirectAdmin. We have several domains that share one IP address. These include his domain, appmagic.com and mine, casabona.com. Recently I moved my mail account to Google Apps mail (Gmail) so I no longer use my casabona.com mail account at DirectAdmin. However, I still host my casabona.com website on DirectAdmin.
Here’s the problem: When my appmagic.com friend (on DirectAdmin) emails my address, [email protected], which is now on Google Apps mail, DirectAdmin changes the outgoing address to [email protected], and the email bounces. It does this presumably because I still have a casabona.com account on DirectAdmin.
I want to keep casabona.com on DirectAdmin to host my website. But my friend’s email to me keeps bouncing. Is there a way I can have an account on DirectAdmin that doesn’t use email, and have other people on our DirectAdmin server be able to email me?
PS - Not sure if this would affect anything, but we also recently added a multi-domain SSL certificate to our server for some of our domains.
