Will installing the above onto a DA server cause any prob for the Controlpanel? I suspect may need to recompile the PHP , afraid this may affect the DA?

DA is a statically compiled C++ program and is not dependent on PHP.

Which isn't to say that something else on your server may be; changing configurations of something as important as PHP is always something that needs to be carefully considered on a shared hosting server.

That said, adding features generally doesn't affect anything.
