Hi,

Appreciate anyone who can help me on this.

I have a client who has 2 domains on this DA Account
- Domain1.com
- Domain2.com

The weird thing is recently we realized the email account for Domain1.com shows login as "thomas" and the email account for Domain2.com shows "thomas" as well.

This means that two emails [email protected] and [email protected] uses 1 login: thomas (thomas is the username of the DA account)

When we tried to investigate further, logging into webmail using 'thomas', we only see [email protected]

Since it is a main account, i cannot delete it from "Email Management"

Any advice?

And what is your problem? That's how it works.

You can not delete default system email box. You can with .forward file redirect all incoming mails for that box into nowhere, i.e. blackhole.

I wouldn't do that cause all system messages you get via DA will get to your system accounts email addres.
Better is to create a new email address to your wishes and forward all system accounts mail to there.

You're right Richard of course. I don't recommend anybody doing this. Blackholing is maximum, what an ending user can do with the system email account.

Does that mean all emails addressed to [email protected] and [email protected] will go to the same email inbox? The problem is the user is complaining his email to domain2.com is not working and he is not receiving any email there..

Dont ask me why the account was created under his name resulting in this problem, we migrated from another DA hosting company and it was created this way previously.

zEitEr is right, that would make no difference because in this case [email protected] is all the same mailbox.

Only if you create a [email protected] another email box with another password will be used. Because thomas2 is another user then thomas which is the main accountname.

So if the user is complaining part of his mail is not working, you have to test and see what exactly he is using to send email and also check your exim logfiles if you can see what's going wrong.
