I have two NICs in my server. I also have a pool of 5 IPs for use with this server.
What is the best way to manage this? Should I put all the IPs on one NIC or spread them over both NICs?
In the past the second NIC was the gateway for a small office network. I no longer need/desire to feed the office network through the server.
I do intend to host DNS on this server so it will have two IPs assigned to it. I'm not worried about DNS loss because if the DNS goes down odds are the server is also down so no one will be getting to the sites hosted on the server.
