Ubuntu 18.04

I want to install directadmin on Ubuntu 18.04 , Do you recommend centos?
Do I need to ask my vps provider to install a special version of Ubuntu?

It's your decision, I prefer centos because when I received my job most of servers has Centos, so all manual scripting was developed for them so I stay with it.
There is no special versions of Ubuntu, just a regular Server version (not desktop).

I think originally, CentOS was preferred however this is by the by as most of the time people are asking about Ubuntu and BSD with no issues.
