I just try to install DA on Ubuntu 9.10 Server Edition and the process very easy compare to Ubuntu 9.04.
What you must do just running DA ./setup.sh and if you got error that caused by lack of library/app then just use "apt-get install" to add the required lib/app then run ./setup.sh again.
2 things that left on this installation is: majordomo and proftpd. You must manually install majordomo by extracting it (thanks DA already provides the package in /usr/local/directadmin/scripts/packages/majordomo-1.94.5.tar.gz).
Just extract majordomo, cd to /usr/local/directadmin/scripts and run ./majordomo.sh
PROFTPD

Thanks to DA support, I hope Ubuntu become officially supported by DA, one day!
