I am having trouble trying to install a Network Solutions EV SSL on our CentOS v5 server. I was able to generate a private 2048-bit key and csr and have been validated by NS. Now I have the cert and pasted the downloaded cert and private key in the DA SSL setup and it was accepted.

But now SSL is not working because of improper CA chains, and I don't know how this is done. Network Solutions does not provide documentation for DirectAdmin users.

Network Solutions' EV Certificate, unlike their other certificates, requires a chained certificate. DirectAdmin calls this a CA Root Certificate. So install it under your main Certificate; click on the word here. Then paste it in, check the box to use it, and then click to save it.

Thank you for the reply.

I have tried pasting in each of the four types of certificates they sent me, and they do not seem to work, even if I combine them.

AddTrustExternalCARoot.crt
NetworkSolutionsEVSSLCA.crt
NetworkSolutionsUTNServerCA.crt
UTNAddTrustServer_CA.crt

Which of these should work?

Only Network Solutions can tell you which Certificates you'll need. Since they don't directly support DirectAdmin and you can't figure it out yourself, you have one of three choices:

You can buy an EV SSL Certificate from a company that does support DirectAdmin (we do, but it's not a Network Solutions Certificate; if you or your client require that you're stuck with Network Solutions).

You can hire someone who can contact work on your server to figure it out for you.

You can tell Network Solutions you've got an apache server, and let them support that for you, for installation through the shell.

The EV Certificates are expensive enough so that you should be able to get them to support you.
