Unable to open port using CSF

Hi

Strange one, I enter a port into TCP_IN (and TCP_OUT) in /etc/csf/csf.conf and it does not open. I tried css -e and that does not allow access to the port.

My datacenter suggested changing gateway but it has not worked (left overnight) - they confirm all ports are open.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Other things tried:

• Checked /etc/csf/csf.deny no offending entries
• Tried using https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

I'm at a loss!!

Doh. Tried swapping sshd with OpenVPN and the port works. It must be OpenVPN.

Right. CSF will open ports. I've seen this question a number of times, but it's never CSF not working/not opening ports.
Good you found the cause, another one we can take into consideration as solution if something similar comes up again.
