"unable to reach network. please check internet connection" message when logging in after a recent update.

After a most recent update to DirectAdmin, every time that I log into the admin account, the webpage will change to "Unable to reach network. Please check your internet connection."

I know that my internet connection is just fine as I'm able to browse to other websites with no issue. Additionally, it will occasionally refresh the page and load into the DirectAdmin interface without me doing anything. Sometimes I have to click the button to reconnect.

Any tips or suggestions on how I can resolve this issue?
