Unable to send emails using SMTP

Using the email address [email protected], the POP or incoming works fine but unable to send emails using smtp.

tried multiple offline email clients and the result is the same.

Tried with my server requires authentication and making sure the check box 'use the same settings as incoming' which did not work to manually entering the out going server user name and password which did not work.

Used the address as mail.edigita.com for SMTP and all default settings for port numbers along with 587.

Please help..

Can you send email from the webmail client?

You can always look in the exim logfiles at /var/log/exim/

The "did not work" is a too global error statement.

Please note the exact and complete error which you get from your email client when sending mail and write it here. This might make it a lot easyer to help you.
