I have 2 servers with Nocix (formerly Wholesale Internet).
Today, one of my servers ran into issues with updating the DA license automatically.
I tried to manually do so from inside the DA panel, and got the following email
First, try updating manually:
http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=30
and failing that contact JBMC-Software, including the error message. Failure to do so could result in an inactive control panel.
So I did try the manual method, and when I did, I got the following server response,
[root@srv1 ~]# cd /usr/local/directadmin/scripts
[root@srv1 scripts]# ./getLicense.sh *** *****

You are not authorized to download the license with that client id and license id (and/or ip). Please email [email protected]
If you are having connection issues, see this guide:
http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=30
IP used to connect out: 74.91.29.10
[root@srv1 scripts]# service directadmin restart
Stopping DirectAdmin: [FAILED]
Starting DirectAdmin: [ OK ]
[root@srv1 scripts]#
So, I send in a Support ticket to NOCIX.net and get the following response back from Shannon...
"Unfortunately our policy regarding Direct Admin has changed recently. We no longer offer DA to our customers. Sorry but we cannot update the license."
As I am not the person who setup the license, etc, what do I do now?? What can I do? I'd drive over to Bellerose and ask DA directly, but I know that it is only a P.O. box in a UPS store.
HELP!!!
By the way, there was absolutely NO notification from NOCIX of their change in policy sent to any of their DA clients. NONE. And their attitude is basically F.U.
