unable to view web page after changing index.html

made page and removed default index.html and uploaded the new one using file manager (because could not get my ftp server to work)(could you help with that as well???) anyway after uploading i can preview and it shows page, with no images?, and i try to view through url and it says it cannot find server????

You've probably got your image paths set incorrectly
If you are being hosted by a company that runs DirectAdmin [i.e you do not own the server], consider contacting them if it's a server issue.

Try refreshing your page too with F5 or ctrl+F5. and check the paths to the images also like B1GCH says.

to setup your ftp, you can use an ftp client (program) or just use windows explorer, type in the ftp info in the address bar like this:

ftp://ftpusername:ftppassword@IP/
