Unable to write the .htaccess file

i want to use protect directory plugin in file manager .

but DA give me this error :
 Unable to crat the .htaccess file

and i upload a .htaccess empty file in locatiob .
da give me new error :

Unable to write the .htaccess file

Please help me .

There is no such animal.

Are you trying to upload a .htaccess to a directory you have permission to? for instance /domains/YOURDOMAIN.COM/public_html ?

Maybe he meant unable to crate? I've had a lot of trouble crating invisible files; if you can't see them it's hard to put them into the box .

marsdl: all fun aside, please always post a paste of an exact error message; it's all too easy to make a typing error.
