Understand SSL certificates

Hi all,

I have question about SSL certificates for my DirectAdmin server and services like roundcube or PhpMyadmin.
Ma serwer hostname is like s.xxx.com. I should buy wildcard SSL certyficates for xxx.com or SSL including subdomains?
Why I ask? Because I bought and install Comodo PositiveSSL certyficate for xxx.com but my DirectAdmin address 199.55.555.555:2222 still isn't protect.

If your server hostname is s.xxx.com, you should either buy a regular SSL certificate for s.xxx.com, a wildcard certificate for xxx.com or a multidomain certificate for xxx.com which includes s.xxx.com .

In order to have an encrypted connection to s.xxx.com:2222, s.xxx.com/phpmyadmin, s.xxx.com/roundcube etc. , you should install the certificate for both Directadmin and your webserver (Apache/Nginx...).

If I understand corectly, I should buy regular SSL certyficate for s.xxx.com because I have already bought regular SSL certyficate for xxx.com?

Thanks just what I was looking for. Why is there not a GUI option for this though?
