Updated Bind9 for DirectAdmin??

I was doing some looking earlier and realized that the version of BIND9/named running on my server is 9.2.4rc6 and then after checking on the Bind9.org homepage they show their latest being 9.3.2b1.

I'm wondering if DirectAdmin will have a script out to update to the latest BIND9? Does the latest bind have bugfixes, security fixes...??

DA only installs Bind if your OS distribution doesn't, and then it loads the same one your OS distribution would use.

Many OS distributions backport security fixes into old version numbers to avoid dependency and compatibility issues, so you may very well have the newest Bind available for your OS.

What OS distribution are you using?

Was Bind installed by the OS?

CentOS 3.3 is the OS and I left the server bare of such services when I installed it because I had talked with John before had on what DA installed so I let DA handle that.
