I'm not sure this is in the right place, so my apologies.
I'm been trying to update MySQL on my machine for a while without any luck. I was able to update it on my other machine running FC, but on this one (RedHat9) I'm having no luck what-so-ever. I've tried using the upgrade scripts, I've tried doing this manually, no luck. It seems installation is a success, but DirectAdmin, etc., states it's still running an old version. (Yes, I've rebooted MySQL after installation, I've recompiled PHP and Apache after installation.) I've been able to update MySQL using the update.mysql.sh script in the passed, but now, for some reason, I just can't update it no matter what.
I'm trying to install 4.1.21 from version 4.0.16. Does anyone know what might be the issue and knows or has a fix for this?
