updating to mysql 5

I was trying to update too mysql 5 with this tutorial:

with this line it goes wrong:
dds31:~/mysql# rpm -Uvh MySQL-*-5.0.37-0.i386.rpm
-bash: rpm: command not found

how do I install rpm? is there an tutorial?

Linux: Debian Etch 4.0

You can't use RPM on Debian OS (it's possible to use them, but it's not recommended). Use this guide to upgrade MySQL: http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=154
