upgrade mysql to 4.1.12 wont work

i tried to upgrade from mysql 4.1.11 to 4.1.12 using a slightly modified verson of the update-mysql.sh script (modified to look in the 4.1 tree istead of the 4.0)

mysql upgrades and will run however all sites that rely on mysql all fail to load with database errors

ended up removing mysql 4.1.12 and reinstalling 4.1.11 which works fine

is there something i need to change before installing 4.1.12 or is 4.1.12 got some bug in it that stopping it working properly?

Argh must be blind didnt notice the mysql section could a mod/admin please move thread for me?

Which errors do you recieve from the PHP parser ?
This to help you with troubleshooting.

i can't remember i tryed updating again but it says it cant find 4.1.12 maybe it was pulled from the mirror as i can find 4.1.11 easily
