I need to upgrade my system but since yum isn't working with FC4 anymore, I need to upgrade to FC10. If I reinstall with a CD and just do an upgrade will it break anything in directadmin or should it still work?

To be safe, you're going to have to count on it breaking everything. Do a complete Admin Reseller backup. If you've done any customizations, added any software, etc., make sure to keep what you need and to also keep notes. Keep everything on a different system.

Then if you're very brave you can try the upgrade.

You may have to have DirectAdmin staff make changes to your license configuration.

Worst case is you'll have some downtime while you rebuild the server from bare metal (which is what I'd recommend anyway).

Assuming that the AdminBackup/Transfer works I should not have to do anything else for my customer's websites as I host alot of Joomla/PHP MYSQL websites?

Perhaps.

The websites on your server may require certain libraries which you've added to your old server, or maybe even different versions of software than you've got on your new server.

When doing that large a jump I'd still recommend rebuilding the server from bare metal, then restoring an Admin Backup/Transfer backup, and then careful testing of each site.
