Upgrading to Latest PHP

I am attempting to upgrade to the latest PHP. I am not extremely proficient but need to upgrade.

i have found this

cd /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild
./build set php5_ver 5.3
./build update
./build php n

but i have no idea where to put that. when in direct admin i dont see a CMD type thing.

any help would be GREAT.

You have to execute this commands as root user.
So you have to login via SSH as root or as another use and then sudo to root.

I'd strongly recommend not running this if you have little enough experience that you didn't know these were root shell commands; running them may cause problems which will require a reasonable level of administration experience to fix.

I strongly recommend you hire someone to do it for you if the loss of uptime might be important to you. I and others offer commercial services for DirectAdmin.
