Upload a Database Backup (.gz) NOT working!

Directadmin says: "Database has been successfully Restored" but to the end it has inserted null!

How about pointing DA to a locale gz/bz2 file uploaded via FTP?
For huge database (say 100MB compressed )

what are other good ways to up a large database, besides restoring it through ssh? Phpmyadmin can't handle large files

The only alternative would be SSH.
