Upload problems

Hi

im really new to this, now im trying to upload my webpages online using the the filemanager that comes with direct, now my problem is, the uploading isnt working unless i got the wrong folder.

I go into file manager and i go into Public_html but my problem is what file do i go into next there are many files, i will name them so maybe someone can help me the files are this

private
_vti_bin
_vit_cnf
_vti_Log
_vti_Pvt
_vti_txt_
cgi-bin
images

then there are 3 files
.htaccess
_vti_inf.html
postinginfo.html

What i did was i tried uploading my pages out of the folder but it didnt work so i went into images then i uploaded them all there but nothing is working. I have to be doing something wrong? do i have to download a ftp for this? i read that you can upload right from the site but im missing something maybe lol

I could be wrong but all that crap is from FrontPage. Just upload the website files to the public_html folder it should work. If you want try creating a index.html file from the file manager and put 'hi' in it.

Check when you go to your website you see it. Just a quick, easy way to make sure everything is working the way it should.

Still upload problems

i dont know i put in a index file but when i try to see the page it says You are not authorized to view this page

i give up lol

Which directory did you put it in?

Also, you should be able to contact your host. They'd be able to login to your account right away and fix it up
