How can we upload a whole folder, OR compress the folder to .tar.gz so that it can be uploaded? We're trying to install the Tiny Tiny MCE module, and it seems to require us to
1) download the module from Drupal
2)download the tinymce_3_2_1 zipped folder from http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/download.php
and install this in our "sites" folder in order to be able to fully use the module's functions.
Are we missing a step, or doing too many? Our end goal was to have IMCE and Tiny Tiny MCE modules working for content editing on our ASU website. Please advise in lay terms since we are beginners with Drupal. Thank you for your help.

Wrong forum for my question?

Is there a better place to ask my question in the last post? We're trying to install the Tiny MCE module and plug ins... has anyone else tried? Thanks.

If you upload a tarball (file.tar.gz) into DirectAdmin you can extract it with the DirectAdmin file manager. The Extract selection will automatically appear for all tarballs.

Wrong forum? The Third Party Software forum is not the wrong forum from my point of view, but possibly it wouldn't get as many views there as it would if you'd originally put it in the User-Level Difficulties forum. I've moved it and deleted your other post.

jlasman,

Thanks for the feedback and putting my post in a better place.

We found some softwared that compressed the Tiny MCE folder we downloaded into a tarball and we were able to install it, but we can't find any evidence of it in our Drupal Admin page, and now we can't delete it, or any part of it, from Direct Admin. I think the deletion from Direct Admin is now our most immediate concern. Can anyone help with this? Thanks.

If you uploaded it as the user, then you should be able to delete it as the user. If you uploaded it using ftp you can even delete it using ftp.
