Uploading files just fine, but....!

Hey guys!

I don't know if this problem i have has something to do with DirectAdmin (which my hosting provider is using, i'm also the reseller) but i have this problem with my permissions.

Whenever i upload some files, like for instance a complete CMS, everything goes just fine. But when trying to upload/install through the CMS, i lose my permissions on some files. I'm unable to delete or change the file... What might cause this problem?

I've been struggling for days now, blaiming every CMS i've tried, but it can't be that al CMSes are badly coded or something like that...

Hello,

As a reseller you can nothing do with this. Search the forum either for mod_ruid or mod_suphp and send a link to your hosting provider. One of these mods is the only way to solve the problems with permissions.

As a reseller? I have a reseller account, and created my own user. I'm using the user account i've made. Does this make any difference?

If you do not have a root access to the server, follow my recommendations above. If you own the server and have a root access, just search the forums for the mod, I've mentioned above and install them (or hire somebody to do that for you, of course if you're the server owner).

I've send my hosting provider an e-mail explaining the problem and told them about mod_ruid or mod_suphp.
