Hi DA users,

I have setup two uptime monitors (StatusCake and UptimeRobot) to monitor my home server.
Directadmin's DNS records point homeserver.mywebsite.com to my home fixed ip address.

I keep getting emails from uptime monitors that my site is down every 5 to 20min. It worked fine on cpanel, and it's been happening since I moved to DirectAdmin. sometimes I cannot access homeserver.mywebsite.com at all and most times it takes forever or doesnt load (if i load the homeserver using local ip -192.168.1.10 it loads very quick so the homeserver is operating fine). what could be wrong?

LoL. :)
Probably it's protection. Did you enter the ip's of UptimeRobot to the exclusion list?
I would add them to csf.ignore or change the icmp settings in CSF. It's described somewhere on the UptimeRobot's site.

StatusCake might have something similar, I don't use that.

However, might also be your ip is getting blocked, or something is missing in the forwards. Can't do a lot with this little info.
