Urgent help needed - How to change A record for the root of a domain parked on direct

One of my customers need to change the root of their domain, domainname.com, as well as www.domainname.com to a different IP (not the DA server). Obviously, the www. is easy, but I have no clue to how to change the root A record IP. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Simply change the A record that looks like this:

domian.tld. A IP
