hi, well another nube goof, i thought i wanted ssl for the login etc. but after a few tries i thought not, so i just changed the ssl from 1 to 0 and commented out the cacert and cakey lines in dirrecadmin.conf file, this worked as far as no more https required, but the emails that are sent to new custmers have the https in the url to link to for their admin panel, but https no longer works,, what script or ? do i need to change so that the email sent to a new customer want have the https in the links not show but just http as it used to before changes... thanks

chuck

i found it,,, u_welcome.txt for the admin and all resellers etc...

If you think it out again you may decide you really do want secure logins, since admin is a pretty powerful user and you really don't want the admin password passed in plain text, which is what happens if you don't have ssl logins enabled.

ssl

thanks jeff, you are very much right, and that is my plans, i was trying it with a self created cert. and that wasn't really what my customers might want to go tru ,,, etc. (grin) so as you say as soon a i get a real cert. i wll be resetting things... again thanks for all your help ... really
