Hi,

I have a newly setup VPS with directadmin and I have a problem with the builtin backup, it seems the automated backup is skipping mysql database. In the backup archive file, .sql files are normally found in sub-directory "backup", but .sql files are not found.

There was no error message, I'm not sure what else to check, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Thomas

I think I know why, I wasn't creating databases from DirectAdmin UI but through phpMyAdmin. The list under MySQL Management is now empty. How do I "link" those databases back to a specific user (such as admin) so that the automated backup will include those databases?

Thanks,
Thomas

I don't have a clue, neither why you should create databases in phpmyadmin when a hosting panel is in use.

Might be best short way is to make database backups, dump them in phpmyadmin and create them again in DA. Then import/restore them again.

Or otherwise you have to wait for somebody who knows how the connection is made in another way.
