User can not login / incomplete passwd file

Hi.

I have the problem that users can not login, into there email (webmail/imap/pop3)
After some searching, I have found then ext problem.

cat /etc/virtual/example.nl/passwd
test:$1$4jUX2bx8$QMG9J6.gzMO4akE3iCLhm0


I would expect

USERNAMEASSWD:UID:GID:COMMENT:HOMEDIR:SHELL


I notice that, I have the same problem when creating a new user.

Ubuntu 10.04.02 LTS
Compiled on Debian 5.0
Compile Date Jun 27 2011, 14:44:06
Server Version 1.39.1
Current Available Version 1.391000

You should rather search the forums and you would definitely find what you need:

cd /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild
./build update && ./build set_fastest
./build dovecot
./build todovecot

Thnx for the replay, yes this solved the problem.
But I like to know, why this has happend.

Is it a fresh installed copy of Directadmin? For some reasons, I don't know exactly why, dovecot fails to get installed properly on some boxes.

You'd better post a bug in a proper sub-forum.
