Users cannot access phpmyadmin

User can create and delete databases, but none of them can access phpMyAdmin, they always get password errors. I can login to phpMyAdmin with my admin info, after following the instructions at

http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=45

but all my users still don't have access.

I've tried several of the fixes and suggestions found in these forums and the ONLY username/password combination that will work is da_admin and its password.

No user can access phpmyadmin no matter what I try.

Can you login to the database through ssh or from a program script with these users login details?
