Users mail from server hostname instead of domainname

Hi there,

Since I installed SpamAssassin/Exim mail sent for example by php mail() from my users is no longer [email protected], but [email protected]

Anyone knows which files to adjust, to fix this?

Answered recently; add the user(s) to the colon-delimited list of trusted_users in exim.conf.

When searching on trusted_users I found a lot of post on this forum indeed, which helped me further.

However, it is not possible to add usernames to this line automatically on user creation? Or is there something like an all * flag?

There may be a way to use a token for all, and there may be a way for DirectAdmin to create a list, and for exim.conf to refer to that list. I'm not certain how bit a priority it would be to work on it since it's not been requested before, and DirectAdmin has been around for years.

Perhaps you should create a Feature Request.
