After trying to suspend a user I notice they are not there along with a handful of other people. I tried the script @ http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=251 and restarting service without issue but nothing came of it. I then did some digging and noticed the /usr/local/directadmin/data/users/admin/domains.list was also empty. From there I did a "cat /etc/virtual/domains > /usr/local/directadmin/data/users/admin/domains.list" and populated it but alas when I checked the users / domain admin in DA nothing is there either. Soooo, I'm not sure where to start but something is definitely out of sync. Lastly, I noticed DA is v1.24.2 so I tried an update and, you guessed it, got an error in the message system saying an error has occurred.

Host hasn't responded to my request for help from this morning. Running out of ideas and really to need to clean up the users/domains. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The most logical reason why this could happen would be if you've run out of space in one or more partitions, making it impossible for DirectAdmin to write it's data files.

Thank you for the suggestion, Jeff. I hadn't checked in a while but didn't think that was an issue. Any other ideas?

Not without doing some forensic work on your server.

Possibly hacked?
