using a sub-domain screws with mail?!?

hrmmmm,

I just went into DA userlevel and added mail.DOMAIN.com (i wanted it to direct to DOMAIN.com/squirrelmail) and then deleted it because all it did was made a folder "mail" in my "public_html/mail". So now when I go to check my mail with Thunderbird, it says "failed to connect to mail.DOMAIN.com"

could this be a possible DA flaw?

Not really a flaw there, but I guess you can consider it one.

When you removed the "mail" sub-domain, DA also removed the A record for "mail"

You need to re-add that "mail" A record.

<host>:2222/CMD_DNS_ADMIN?domain=DOMAIN.com
