Hey there DA users :>.
I'd like to know if it's possible to use DA on a source based system such as gentoo. Currently I'm using DA on CentOS 4 64bit but I dislike rpm based systems, I like compiling everything from source.
In theory DA installs its own packages as rpm binaries, right? (except apache maybe).
Will I be able to say, backup the old configuration of the packages (exim for example) install my own package using gentoo's "emerge" and reset the configuration file?
Or install all the dependencies DA needs and just install the basic skeleton of DA to use my current already installed packages?
P.S.
I'm not scared of messing with configuration files / patching packages, as it took me a bit of work to get DA to work in 64bit mode .
Thanks,
Nimrod Gutman.
