But the quick answer is that the only way to do it is to create and use your own skins.
If you want to have some kind of connection to another server for email, then you could have your skin access your own PHP (or other language) programs to do that for you.
DA is designed as a single server solution; it won't be easy to make it work in a mult-server environment, but it is possible.
