Using DirectAdmin on RHEL 9 systems?

I'm planning on leaving CentOS 7 and make the move to AlmaLinux. And while I expect version 8 to be safe and sound, I'm considering making the jump straight to version 9 to have a longer server cycle ahead.

How is DirectAdmin/CustomBuild with version 9 of RHEL systems?

Any performance differences or known problems between version 8 and 9 of RHEL/AlmaLinux/RockyLinux?

9 works with openssl 3 - so PHP 8+ only.
Also as for me it still little raw OS, I usually wait till .5 release to, like 8.5 or 9.5.
Because OS fresh - there no base of benchmarks, reviews, etc..

I was not aware of the minimum PHP version requirement. This is good to know!

Looks like PHP 8.1 is the minimum requirement for RHEL 9 systems:

Directadmin / custombuild could use openssl 1.1.1 from source in another directory to successfully compile older php versions on EL9 systems.

That's what I was thinking too. And OpenSSL is not part of CustomBuild, so we can update it through the OS?
