Using main domain in AD

I have a domain that was used as the main domain when installing Direct admin, and I want to create a site with that domain, however when I go to the user section to add the domain, it tells me domain in use. I cannot see anything in Admin/Reseller to do this.

Have you changed what you call your server's main domain (we call it the host name)?

The hostname cannot be the same as a domain name on the server. So the first thing to do is to change the hostname.

The second thing to do is remove the DNS zone for the old hostname.

Then you should be able to create a site with that domain name.
