Hi friends.
I have to send emails from the contact form of my website using a smtp server on a remote machine.
Regarding to what I could find in DirectAdmin website, I have to uncheck using local mail server. But there is 2 other questions for me.

1- What do I need to write as new MX record address ? Is smtp.domain.com is correct? (domain.com is a sample domain)
2- Do I need to apply any changes on other DNS settings like mail, smtp, and pop?

I'm not sure why you need to use a remote server to send your contact form emails; you didn't specify.

But no matter, just because you're using a remote server to send outgoing emails from your form you do NOT need to uncheck the sitting to use your local email server. That setting is only for using your local system to receive email, and has nothing to do with setting it.

So to answer your specific questions:

1. Not applicable if you're using your local server to receive email for your domain.

2. As long as you're using your local server to receive email for your domain, you don't need to make any changes to DNS ... EXCEPT you should change your SPF record to add the remote SMTP server as an acceptable outgoing email server.
