Very high cpu load, please help!

i have a joomla site and a VDS. For 2 days it is soooo slow. When i checked you can see the result. I am not an expert but sendmail function seems using very high cpu. But i am not using sendmail nor getting any mail. If it is using cpu very high. How can i disable this? I am using gmail for my website.

You better go through your logs and see what is being accessed to cause this high load.

You're not running Sendmail; DirectAdmin doesn't use Sendmail. You're running spome php function which is calling sendmail or the exim sendmail interface.

See if one of your sites has been hacked. Run maldet (search these forums).

According to the screenshot an user is using PHP either as fastcgi or PHP-FPM (built with custombuild 2.x). And that's OK.

I agree, the site might be either compromised or is under spam bots attacks, and bots post numerous spam comments, and on every post a new notification is sent to an administrator email. That creates a higher load.
