View log of FTP user access/download?

Is it possible to view a log file that would show when FTP users accessed their site?

For example, if I post a software update to an FTP directory. How could I see if a user logged into that directory...and if possible see if they downloaded the file.

The access logs by default for proftpd are:

/var/log/proftpd/access.log

This log will show which commands were used.

I figured if he had the path, he'd find the right file...jeesh.

Tool? not that I know..though you can view the ftp logs from within DA's Admin section via the Log view. If the logs are not in the list, just edit

/usr/local/directadmin/data/templates/logs.list and add it...and any other log not there you would want to see.
