Virtual Host to Dedicated Server

ok I think I have found the issue. We were on a virtual host before and now we own the dedicated server so I don't belive the virtual host was set up. What does this mean and how can I fix it. I ran that script but we are missing large amounts of configuration data.

echo "action=rewrite&value=httpd.conf" >> /usr/local/directadmin/data/task.queue

I don't know how to list is ssh to show the domain list or admin list.

When I type this script:

/usr/local/directadmin/data/admin/admin.list

I get this message:

-bash: /usr/local/directadmin/data/admin/admin.list: Permission denied


Please help. We have our old hosting company is threatening to delete our data because they are upset that we are leaving them after 2 years beacuse they keep crashing and losing large amounts of our data and we have our new host who absolutely refuses to offer any support with Direct Admin. We have been using direct admin for 4 years and we refuse to use anuthing else but I am lost here.

I am helping my mother who owns yourmilitary.com. Im not a server administrator I just assist with installing web based applications for companies. It is basically web development but this is really stumping me. I think it is possible that we have an issue with the restore but I can't figure it out. You appear to have jumped in to the forum in the middle of a problem without having effectively written what you've done or even the details of the problem.

It appears from your log errors that you're attempting to find a site in the server's default hosting location at /var/www/html.

That's not where DA puts sites. Did you upload a site?

To where?

How?

DirectAdmin puts sites in:

/home/username/domains/example.com/public_html

If your virtual host was also running DA, and if DA is properly installed on your new server than all you have to do is a reseller backup (or multiple reseller backups) on the old server.

Then create the resellers on your new server, and restore the backups.
