While trying to find out why popb4smtp stopped working, I realized that vm-pop3d is no longer logging any data relating to POP or IMAP sessions.

I've tried restarting vm-pop3d and syslog.
I checked /var/log/maillog to ensure that permissions are correct. (spamd is succesfully logging to this file).

Still no go.

Does any one have some suggestions on what to do next?

This problem seems to have started late last week, but I have not touched any mail related apps or configurations for a while...

What version, Operating system, and any recent system upgrades of any kind (such as DirectAdmin itself)?

Sorry, should have included these rearlier.

FreeBSD 5.4
DA 1.26.1
Exim 4.60

Last week I replaced the single core Athlon64 with a dual core unit.
Obviously I had to powercycle the server to do this, but I did not make any software changes at the time.

Exim was updated within days of the package being available from DA.

I can't be 100% sure, but my understanding is that everything was running correctly until the server was powercycled.

BTW, the server had been powercycled 18 days before for a memory upgrade and all services had come up correctly then. No software changes had been made between powercycling instances.

Thanks!
