We're setting up a new server. ESX is free now, as is GSX for that matter. Servers have a lot of power these days. Where we are going has a KVM for to the machines. I was thinking of using one of these but the machine it will be going on will get pounded. 10,000 pages in a minute and 3 seconds for starters and grows from there. It would be nice to be able to do a virtual on it. That would allow me to add a Windows capabilities which I also need. I love the way I can copy VMs around when I want to spread the load. I've worked with VMWare the last week or so, and I'm blown away by what I've seen so far. Anybody else have any experience doing this with VMWare that I might be able to benefit from?

I tried to get esx, but it made me register, then it told me I wasn't allowed to download it. Clearly I am doing something stupid, so I was hoping you could provide a link to the correct download page...

You got me nervous so I went back to make sure I could still get it or if they pulled it. I got it.
