Just buy a VPS and start toying around, see what works and what doesn't. That's the way I started a couple of years ago, bought a VPS somewhere with DA and started to play, see what problems came around and how I could fix them (sometimes with the help of a good webhoster). Just don't put anything critical on the VPS and make good backups. I'm not sure if I can make an offer to you, so I won't.

I got the complete set from a friend of mine but haven't had the time to watch it all
